Georgiana Cosoveanu

Georgiana has an extensive experience in the healthcare sector, gained through top management positions both in the public and private sectors . For more than 9 years, she has been a member of Janssen Romania, Janssen pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson Romania, where she is currently Member of Romania Leadership Team, Leading Governmental and Corporate Affairs, and having an assignment as Governmental Affairs Leader, Market Access and External Affairs Alliance Greece, Poland, Romania.

She achieved different leadership positions within the business and trade associations, has active involvement and leads strategic projects in task forces of local pharmaceutical associations and business and trade associations in Romania. At European level she is member of EMEA company strategic committees on Governmental Affairs, Brussels based.

She has contributed to the business, pharmaceutical industry and health system in developing legislative framework on healthcare system & promoting innovation, transparent, digital and predictable healthcare policies, market access and medicines reimbursement, financing, health economics, EU negotiations for Romania’ integration to the EU by shaping the external environment, drive the debates within the Romanian and European governance structures and international organizations.

She graduated in the International Business and Economics with a master diploma in European Institutions and Programs Management. She is PhD Candidate, Doctoral School of International Business and Economics. She achieved post grades specializations in: International Economic Relations, Law and a double certificate of advanced studies in International Health Financing and Management/Leadership for Health with the Georgetown University and George Washington University in Washington DC. She was Research Fellow of the Berkeley University of California, USA and published articles on health systems policies and financing, along with other international experts. She is Alumna of ASPEN Institute Seminar for Leaders and of EIT Health – Senior Executive Program Global Health Innovation Management (SEPGHIM).
